    They steal our labor. When you pay someone less than their time is worth, then you are stealing from them. It's wage theft.

    The GOP and the corporations talk about slavery as if it is horrible, but at the same time they secretly wish they could get away with it now.

    Between overworking and underpaying those who give them a full day's effort, and cutting hours to avoid giving them healthcare, they're doing their level best to get as close to slavery as possible.

    And look at the prisons - filled with a lot of young Black men, who work for free or as close to that as possible, while corporations profit hugely from their labor.

    The same crimes committed by young White men get them a slap on the wrist, more often than not.

    We got rid of the institution of slavery - at least on the surface. The GOP/Tea Party appears to be wishing for a return to those days.
