I, like a lot of people here have had problems with Tweety. But what stands out to me and makes me always want to hear what he says is his poetic Welsh soul.
Ater the debate Tweety became enraged that McCain suggested that any vet could have "died in vain." He said that was a bad , unpatriotic idea. He is right. The soldier does not choose the war. He/She serves their country.
I didn't think of that when McCain made that point. That is why I appreciate Tweety. It takes a Welsh poet to see that as a primary issue in the debate.
No one, including McCain, should say our troops died in vain.

I know a lot of people here have had a lot of complaints about Tweety's philosophy. But at times, we have all cheered as he has eviscerated the ignorant.
All that's fine. Many pundits/journalists do that kinda stuff. What makes Tweety different is his disorganized but poetic sensibility. I don't know if he is Welsh, but he has this Dylan Thomas' romantic, lyrical sense of the white, working man's soul that actually trumps any analytic failing I see in his thinking.
I can do the analytic thing. I am not Welsh. I really appreciate Tweetie's sensibility. I learn stuff from him.
For what it's worth, I love KO, but he thinks just like I do, so when I listen to him, I don't get another view after a debate. KO always says, more concisely, what I'm thinking.
Tweety however, you can always count on to riff off on the soul of the Pennsylvania or Apalachian voter.
Tweety doesn't have Richard Burton's voice (or looks) but he tries to channel that spirit - born in America.
