That's what we keep hearing and it seems that there are no Marches or Rallies in favor of Health Care Reform.
Or.... That's what we are lead to believe? That actually there is little support for Health Care Reform and A LOT OF OPPOSITION TO IT!
Hmmmmmm....
So, Aurora goes on a quest to find out what is behind the apparent lack of Action on the part of Liberals, Progressives and all-around pro Health Care Reform Advocates, because according to the Mainstream Media, nothing is going on as far as Actions in favor of Health Care Reform ANYWHERE!!!
Not surprisingly, I did find out there is a lot of Pro Health Reform action going on Nationwide, but apparently to the Mainstream Media, these are not as important to cover as is a couple of dozen of teabaggers, birthers, militiamen and all around rightwingnut wackos, screaming incoherently at Congressmen in Town Hall Meeting, they (The MSM) are all over these disgraceful spectacles as if they were of the magnitude of the Civil Rights March on the Washington Mall in 1968.
These are the result of my inquires:

Hundreds rally for health care reform
Submitted by bniolet on August 29, 2009 - 1:31pm.
Hundreds of people gathered outside the state Capitol building in Raleigh on Saturday to voice support for President Barack Obama's health care plan.
The demonstrators carried signs and cheered as speakers talked up the need for reform, including a government public option for the uninsured.
The rally was one of a handful planned across the state. The Rev. William Barber, president of the state chapter of the NAACP, called on those in attendance to challenge what he said were distortions of what the health care plan would do.

Phoenix Pro Healthcare Reform March / Rally 8/17/09 [Video] http://rss.ireport.com/...
A huge wave of Arizonans today descended upon the Phoenix Convention Center to show our support for Obama and Healthcare Reform. I've heard unofficial reports of 1000+ supports at it's peak.
This video was taken during the actual march, which was before the "tea-baggers" showed up. This event started at 0630am at the corner of Washington & Central Ave. and the march went up Washington to 3rd St, in front of the convention center where Obama was to appear at the VFW Annual Convention.
We braved the sweltering heat for healthcare!

At a health care reform rally in Ventura, CA, a right winger came over to the pro-reform side and waved a Soviet flag. I guess he didn't know that all our allies in Europe have some form of government run health insurance or medicine, or that after the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the end of socialized medicine, life expectancy there DROPPED dramatically.

Health Care Reform Rally Turns Into Noisy Debate
Updated: Aug 27, 2009 7:58 PM PDT
Hundreds of people packed a UW-Green Bay building for what was supposed to be a pro-health care reform rally with Congressman Steve Kagen. But many came to voice disapproval of the legislation, and emotions ran high at a rally drawing cheers and boos.
Groups of protesters lined up outside UWGB's student union at least an hour before the health care rally even began.
The protests remained peaceful outside but set the stage for what became at times a heated debate inside.
More than 400 people packed the student union -- so many that organizers had to expand the room to let everyone in.

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - More than 100 people packed a rally in west Charlotte Saturday in favor of health care reform.
The rally was held at the Greater Mount Sinai Baptist Church on West Boulevard.
Supporters heard from a panel of doctors who took questions about the proposed reform package.
Many people in the crowd said they don't have health coverage and wanted to know how the reform bill would benefit them.
Louise Gammons has two kids covered under a state plan, but says she can't afford to pay extra for her husband who's unemployed.

EVANSVILLE — Since Randy Hefner retired from his job as a nurse at the State Hospital, he and his wife have been living without health insurance.
The couple both have pre-existing conditions that effectively prevent them from affording an insurance policy. Living on a fixed income, they struggle to make ends meet while paying out-of-pocket for medications that cost hundreds of dollars a month.
Hefner was one of about 30 people who gathered at Bayard Park on Saturday afternoon in support of the Democratic-backed health care reform bill.

Folksingers from Grants Pass, California, Texas and Pennsylvania urged people to call their federal legislators, holding a placard with a giant phone number to emphasize the point. Members of the Coos/Curry Single Payer Action Committee gathered signatures, handed out pamphlets and grilled burgers and hot dogs.

Supporters of health-care reform drowned out the cries of opposition Thursday afternoon as the two sides took the heated debate to U.S. Rep. Mark Schauer's front door.
About 400 people — both opponents and proponents of President Barack Obama's health-care plan — rallied and positioned themselves along the sidewalks in front of Schauer's district office. The crowd spilled out onto all four corners of the N. West Avenue and W. Ganson Street intersection as people marched up and down the streets, chanted and carried signs.
Schauer, who has been criticized for not conducting any town-hall meetings during the August recess, emerged briefly to address the largely supportive crowd.

And on, and on, and on it went, page after page of Google search results of Actions all over the country, three pages and I had to stop, because at Results 31 - 40 of about 141,000 for Pro Healthcare Reform March rally in Google Search results, would make this note a mini version of 'War and Peace"
and the Mainstream Media? Just as Sergeant Schultz of the Show Hogan's Heroes response is "See nothing, hear nothing, know nothing"
Well...
And the kicker? Sadly is to say that even in the 'Liberal', 'Progressive' or, according to the rightwingnuts talking heads at FOX NOISE, the 'Leftist" MSNBC's shows of Keith Olberman, Ed Schultz and Rachel Maddow, have developed serious symptoms of blindness and loss of hearing because there is no mention of the mobilizations there either.
Oh, by the way, I didn't include the planned nationwide marches and rallies to be held on September, let's see if those are covered.
NOTE: CORRECTION, "no puma" Reminded me that it was actually Barney Frank who made that comment in addition to the other very funny analogy of "Talking to a dinning room table", or something like that
