As anyone who frequents FARK.com knows, their readership is a pretty good snapshot of slightly-right-of-center America. Their stories range all over the map, of course, from the banal to benign to goofy to serious (with an ample helping of boobies to make it all go down easier).
Well, earlier tonight they posted a link to a story on Snopes regarding Yet Another Empty "Support the Troops" Gesture (wear red on Fridays, etc).
The story linked to isn't what interested me, however--it's the comments on the story which did. Check them out:

The key to understanding the significance of these posts is to look at the ratio of anti-war/anti-hypocritical comments to rah-rah/chickenhawk types.
The second key to understanding the significance of this is to understand that over the past couple of years, when FARK does link to a serious/important story, the comments have tended to be around 2:1 on the wingnut/GOP side.
Something is definitely changing, methinks.
