I'm organizing an action at my local Wal-mart in Catonsville. You should join us.
I'm organizing an action at my local Wal-Mart here in Catonsville (Route 40 & Rolling Road). It starts at 8 pm Thanksgiving evening. The purpose of the action is to end the retaliation of Wal-Mart workers who speak out on the job and to improve their working conditions. Many of us are opposed to Wal-Mart as an organization--and these worker-led actions are one important step to getting the company to change its act. So if you can join me, please do so. More information here.
I sort of thought this whole endeavor was tilting at windmills--until Wal-Mart filed an Unfair Labor Practice against the United Food and Commercial Workers Union for these Wal-Mart actions. Obviously, the movement of wildcat strikes has the Walton heirs worried.
If you can come, please RSVP to this link.
