The Kos Georgia group hasn't been active for a while, but now is the time for us to get organized to see how we progressives can best work within the state. Of course, you don't have to live here to join, but if you want to keep up with Georgia politics, please feel free to join us.
With Saxby Chambliss facing a run-off, there will be a lot of floor-mopping among the Republican candidates. And whether it's Karen Handel, Eric Eirckson, or that crazy guy in Marietta who brings piles of embryo = personhood bills to the floor every year, their candidate won't be so hot.
There is a real opportunity to take Saxby's seat. We need to get to work.
If you should decide to sign up as a new member, contact Kos Georgia, and
please be sure to include the area you live in, as specifically as you can.
Example
For me, it would be:
Atlanta - Little Five Points
This way, we can identify clusters and plan meetings accordingly. We may break off into Atlanta, Athens and Savannah sub-groups or something like that.
If you're an existing member, why haven't you answered my message yet? No, really, please, let me know where you are.
Anyway, I hope you'll join us.
And for those of you that live out of state, it would be nice to know where you are.
Thank you!
