Charleston, SC- The Lowcountry chapter of the SC Progressive Network will meet on Monday, January 14, at 7 pm, in the International Longshoreman’s Association Hall at 1142 Morrison Dr., Charleston, SC, 29403. Charleston area progressives are invited to discuss strategies and plans for this new year of advocacy and activism for social justice in SC. Network Executive Director Brett Bursey will speak and George Hopkins will facilitate.
The purpose of the meeting will be for Lowcountry Progressives to meet, greet, network, and build solidarity among the over sixty progressive organizations in the statewide network and organize for the year ahead regarding issues of healthcare access, voting rights, legislative ethics reform, racial understanding, labor rights, reproductive rights, and other issues.
