When my comrades and I took on this task the fight for fifteen was still a gleam in some organizers eye. Now it is a reality.
The idea that the people that flip burgers and sweep up at the end of the day were not getting by was off the radar screen. Now that the Republicans have gone off the rails and refuse to give even the paltry raise that the president is advancing communities are stepping up. All around the nation the fight for fifteen is working. Now that the city of SeaTac has shown that fifteen was possible Seattle and others are following suit.
Which brings me back to my little left coast town that is finally getting to vote on the $12 an hour minimum wage for workers of larger employers. We made a grass roots commercial for TV and now are raising money to air it. Please Give it a look and tell me what you think. If you like it,kick down a few dollars to put it on TV.
