As our story continues our plucky heroine …. I've always wanted to start something with that cliché. As many of you know I am caregiver to a brittle diabetic younger brother. We would have lost him last night if I wasn't here. His blood sugar suddenly dropped to 44. I had to call 911 and had fire and paramedics here helping me get him back. Fortunately we got him stable and he didn't have to go back into the hospital. I knew he was back from zombie land when he suddenly asked, "Michele what the hell is going on?" It cracked everyone up. As far as we can figure out this is the 12th time since October 2013 that I've saved his life.
If you've followed our saga you know we are having the landlord from Hell here. They tried to evict us because I was "rude" to their staff who refused to take a message that I had a medical emergency and was trying to take care of getting my brother's car off the property. Thanks to some great people here that is done and they have given us to the end of my lease May 31st to move.
I just put an application into the most beautiful apartment complex that would give my brother a quality of life he will never have here. I am asking for prayers and positive energy that the application goes through. I have never wanted to live in a place as badly as I want to live there.
It will mean paying rent on two places in May but I think if I wipe out the savings I can manage it and moving. Thank you to everyone who donated to help us with the car. A special thanks to the people who bought art and jewelry. Hopefully by this time next month I can put up pictures of our new home.
Thank you again for everything you have done and for your wonderful support. I appreciate it as does Reid and Pixie and George the dragon.
