Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin is presently leading the polls for the republican presidential nomination.
Just this morning on DailyKos, in response to Abbreviated Pundit Round-up, I offered the following:
Scott Walker is only leading in the polls because, on paper, he has a few things going for him:
1.) He's a governor. The GOP likes governors.
2.) He withstood a recall. Many folks, including myself, believed he would gain national support for winning.
3.) He broke the unions. The GOP hates unions (other than police).
But the guy has not been vetted to the national audience.
a.) Like Chris Christie, many of his closest aides have been indicted. It's not clear Walker won't be indicted.
b.) Like many other republican governors who cut taxes, his state is in a financial mess. This tax cuts never produced jobs. Matter of fact, Wisconsin lags the national average for job creation. There is no economic success in Wisconsin any more than in Kansas or NJ.
c.) That phone call where he proved to be a Koch-sucker will not go down well with moderate voters.
d.) He did not graduate from college and there appears to be something he's hiding.
e.) His foreign policy experience is 'zero', and national security/terrorism is the #1 issue for GOP primary voters. He was ridiculed by republicans for suggesting his fight with unions is the same as fighting al Queda.
Let Walker be the front runner. Democrats should vote for this guy if you live in an open primary state. He's an idiot whose only real success is being a career politician that has left scandal in his wake.
And we know all of these things without a proper vetting.
See more below the fold….
The following appears just hours later on HuffingtonPost:

Highlights:
During the 2010 campaign for governor, Scott Walker famously promised to create 250,000 jobs in his first term.
Toward this end, one of his first acts as governor was to privatize the state's economic development agency. Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) opened its doors in July 2011. After a series of damning audits, which highlighted mismanagement and incompetence, and news reports of special treatment for Walker donors, this week Democratic state lawmakers called for a federal investigation of the scandal-plagued entity.
Walker missed his jobs goal by 43 percent. Now we know why.
The attached article offers the details.
Let his vetting begin.
Enjoy.
