Just a quick diary to express my outrage over the latest attempts to suppress Bernie Sanders' exposure. I noted just the other day in a comment to the diary,
The Corporate Media Would Like You to Believe that Bernie Sanders Can't Win
And unlike Ted "Coloring Book" Cruz (0+ / 0-)
Bernie's message has been going out daily on Facebook in the form of Photo-Message posts. The one I shared today said:
"The U.S. government must do all it can to protect us from terrorist attacks, but we can do that without undermining out constitutional rights. I voted against the USA Patriot Act and will continue to do all that I can to prevent us from moving towards an Orwellian society where the government and private sector have far too much information about the lives of law-abiding people"
[emphasis in original]
He is gaining name-recognition and attracting the attention of people committed to progressive change.
Well, it looks like they might be trying to do something about that too ...
I have "shared" - Facebook's terminology for reposting - scores of photo message links over the past few years, never with a problem until now. When I attempted to share Bernie's Memorial Day post with this quote:
If you are not prepared to take care of the men and women who put their lives on the line to defend this country - who came back wounded in body, wounded in spirit - if you're not prepared to help those people, then don't send them to war in the first place.
I was confronted with an unfamiliar Facebook screen warning me that the link I was trying to share was unsafe. IT WAS A FREAKING
FACEBOOK LINK!
I jumped through their hoops to be able to share it despite its "danger", then gave Facebook help a piece of my mind regarding this BS.
Yes, there could be innocuous explanations for this happening, but considering the message from the diary linked above, I doubt that those innocuous explanations are accurate.
