Re “Balance of Nature”
Hi -- this is my very first diary. And not even a topic about which I am passionate; merely annoyed. I hope you will be kind.
If you watch TV with ads, you will have seen many heartwarming stories about the “Balance of Nature” fruit and vegetable dietary supplement capsules. People speaking in the ads say it has made a positive difference for them in their health and lives. Before discovering Balance of Nature, they were too busy/unaware to eat actual fruits and vegetables, but taking those little capsules daily is now their health/wellness priority.
Amazon says: About this item
Whole Food Fruits Supplement: Balance of Nature Fruits is made with aloe vera, apple, banana, blueberry, cherry, cranberry, and more
Whole Food Veggies Supplement: Balance of Nature Veggies is made with broccoli, cabbage, carrot, cauliflower, cayenne pepper, and more
High-Quality Ingredients: Fruits & Veggies are gluten-free, non-GMO, keto-friendly, and vegan; they are also free from added sugars, fillers, and synthetics
Freeze-Drying Technology: Our produce is powdered after an advanced vacuum-cold process which stabilizes the maximum nutrient content
Pure, Potent, Plant Power: The only thing in our capsules is pure fruits and vegetables
Serving Size: 3 capsules.
If that’s 3 capsules and 2 flavors times 3 meals, that’s 18 capsules (Fruit+Veg) per day. Best price I found on Amazon is $269.85 for 3bottlesx2kindsx90capsules = 50 cents per capsule. So that would be $9 per day for 18 capsules, for 0% of your Daily Value of anything significant, per the label.
I have a different idea: Buy and eat actual fresh fruit and vegetables! Cooking is optional. $9 per day will get you a LOT of fresh vegs/fruit to fill your senses and tummy. Better yet, plant your own garden and grow your own fruit and vegs! Plus, sunshine outdoors for you and give garden abundance to your neighbors.
However, if you really prefer eating expensive pills to feel virtuous and healthy, go for it. But then what else are you eating to fill your stomach and supply your daily caloric needs?
