There's no way I can make this a 4 paragraph diary. We got a telemarketer phone call this morning asking for contributions for Obama. I was irritated and put off by having this call on a holiday. I think the campaign should not make these calls on a holiday.
It did not sound like a volunteer call but rather a paid telemarketing firm type call. The caller was reading haltingly from a script. When I could get a word in I told her I do all my contributions online but the only way I could get her to go away was to let her send me a contribution envelope in the mail. I assume the paid callers get bonus points if they get a person to agree to a set amount.
Does the Obama campaign really need to call me for money on Memorial Day?
