Looks to me that somebody's got a serious case of sour grapes working here. It would also appear that the American people dodged a big bullet by defeating the McCain-Palin ticket in '08.
The Hill's Michael O'Brien reports today:
McCain: Don't expect GOP cooperation on legislation for the rest of this year
"There will be no cooperation for the rest of the year," McCain said during an interview Monday on an Arizona radio affiliate. "They have poisoned the well in what they've done and how they've done it."

By "they" you mean this one?
Or do you mean "That One"?
So McCain's going to take his ball(s) and go home. He won't tell you that 200 repub amendments were adopted into the new HC plan Obama will sign into law tomorrow. I didn't even know they had any other plan except NO. The problem isn't that Obama's not willing to work with them, the problem is more apparent every day: It's them! If the well is poisoned, it's because they've been "The Ones" holding the arsenic bottle in their hands all along.
Senator Harry Reid's spokesman Jim Manley released the following statement:
"For someone who campaigned on ‘Country First’ and claims to take great pride in bipartisanship, it’s absolutely bizarre for Senator McCain to tell the American people he is going to take his ball and go home until the next election. He must be living in some parallel universe because the fact is, with very few exceptions, we’ve gotten very little cooperation from Senate Republicans in recent years.
At a time when our economy is suffering and we’re fighting two wars, the American people need Senator McCain and his fellow Republicans to start working with us to confront the challenges facing our country—not reiterating their constant opposition to helping working families when they need it most."
If doing nothing for the American people the rest of this year is McCain's idea of putting "Country First", I'd hate to see what he would do if he was president and didn't get his way. God help us all if he had a repub majority and he held a line item veto pen in his hand. Then, nothing would get done. Yep, we all dodged a big bullet!
