The Progressive Change Campaign Committee and Democracy for America are ramping up the pressure against Republicans in Wisconsin. Today we are launching a robo-call campaign in key districts to keep the state senators accountable to their constituents -- by asking voters whether they would support recalling them from office. Click here to listen to the call and donate $3 to help us reach 50,000 constituents of Republicans.
These robo-calls will target five vulnerable Republican districts whose senators support Gov. Walker's proposal to strip the rights and benefits from working families, including the districts of Republican Sens. Luther Olsen (District 14), Robert Cowles (District 2), Dan Kapanke (District 32), Dale Schultz (District 17) and Senate President Michael Ellis (District 19).
The robo-calls will feature Aimee Auer, a school teacher and PCCC member from New London, WI. Aimee calls out the Republican State Senators for siding with Walker and his radical plans, and she asks those receiving the call if they'd support a recall to hold these senators accountable.
The campaign plans to make at least 50,000 calls -- a huge increase in pressure for these senators to reject Walker. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Talking Points Memo and the Atlantic have already reported on these calls -- and MSNBC's Cenk Uygur will report on them tonight at 6pm Eastern.
