Weeks ago, Local H put out an album that's pretty focused on politics and what was going on with the election. It's the most fully political album they've ever put out, but there's been references to this stuff in the past... "President Forever" is a good example.
The album is called "Hallelujah! I'm a Bum" and can be found pretty easily. I saw it at Best Buy for $8.99 the other day.
You might remember these guys from the mid 90s, when they had a string of hits (Fritz's Corner, bound for the Floor, etc.), and it looked like they'd be around for a while. Unfortunately, the got gobbled up by a label, left out to dry and forgotten in all of the ownership shuffling.
They've been chugging along since then and generally I'd say they put out some of the best straight out rock albums still. Unfortunately, their reach is limited. Even so, I thought people might enjoy this album if they knew about it, especially given this site's subject matter.
One of my favorite things about these guys (there's only two of them), is that every one of their albums is really a cohesive unit. Songs refer to each other, songs sample each other... And it's all done well. They continue that trend here to good effect.
