With every McCain-Graham Benghazi echo ringing like Salvation Army bell trying to wring out spare change from largely cashless consumers, Will they dare speak of reports that Salafist militia have captured and plan to mutilate and kill 12 men for homosexuality?
I sometimes defend muslims as being no more crazy than Christians.I still believe our involvement in UN operations in Libya, most notably our willingness to take a support position and not leading the mission, is a triumph of Obama foreign policy over Bush's war on terror.
after the rusty iron rococo cartouche.
We know Susan Rice is a safe GOP target for everything we already know about the GOP. We know the beltway natter loves to have a go at dissecting one of their own. Not one bit of fundraising viscera will miss the pail if McCain, Graham, and others succeed in bullying the re-elected enemy. We know the Republicans fear a Obama that is no longer tethered to opinion polls, and we have seen our POTUS stand up for his subordinate.
All of this is great theater.
If the Republicans really want to attack Obama for the situation in Libya, can they do so by decrying the human rights abuses of the Salafis?
Obviously this is an area where no one should listen to them. Their record at home and in Africa on sexual identity questions speaks for itself. Much of their money doesn't want to hear McCain or even Graham talk about gayness any more than they have to, but if they are serious about challenging not just Rice, the POTUS, but the post-neocon foreign policy, they need to take the risk.
