After the news from #Ferguson last night, I feel the Mother in me saying let us figure this shit out.
We have each other, there is great power in that. We can all testify to the brutality of a world we now live in. May I ask you all, y'all, U.S. of America to stand for a moment of silence above the hype and noise? Protest Black Friday and Stand with Walmart Workers with some homemade cardboard signs. Stand for the Mike Browns of America and remember $$Ferguson$$ like this $$. Protesting, quietly protesting. I didn't grow up to see a world of this design. I didn't make it this way and neither did you. I'm pissed. Mother Jones is pissed, Mother God, Eath, and Universe is pissed.
Can we have a moment I mean MOVEMENT of SILENCE for all the Mike Browns around this world, please?
HELL CAN the WHOLE WORLD STOP CONSUMING for a MOVEMENT of SOLIDARITY?
Hit them where it hurts most; in the wallet. Corporations are not people. We are the tired, poor, huddled masses, striving to breathe free, can we have a movement of systems change while the tempest tossed (we, us, and them) bust down the delivery door to a brave new world?
Help U.S. Help Y.O.U.
STOP CONSUMING. Stop. Black Friday? Stop love, just try to, you won't succeed; because I am having a MOM- moment of Solidarity with other MOM's, Grandmothers, and Mother F'ers all over this wordly design who want equity and social justice. Because, the truth will set us free.
Please, please, please, this Thursday and Friday, circle up with family and ask yourselves at your table what do we really want to teach our children? Take them to picket to stand with you. It is a lesson about humility, humanity, and dignity. Well, it's a lesson for us all. Boycot holiday buying. Stand with someone somewhere as a Brother and Sister. Remember True Grit? Sometimes we just have to bite the bullet and when it is all over we will see it was not that hard. Your children will be the better for it, I promise and so will mine. So will all of ours, get it? It's a we thing.
If you are rural and there are no local demonstrations, and even more sadly if you are afraid, then stay home! Talk to your family about why we are home for a Mom- moment of Silence from the deafening roar of consume, consume, consume.
So, in the long run, it will be the dollars missed that will eventually push corprate govenmental bodies to a political and societal systems change. Stay encouraged as I am and lastly, get off your a** and get some markers and posterboard to head out to Walmart Friday.
As one of those country comedians say's "Here's your sign".
