Yeah, I haven't been posting much in the way of diaries as of late. I guess you could say that with everything going on lately from police murders to riots I was pretty much out of breath. To be perfectly honest I've lost the will to do almost anything on the internet, save read diaries here perhaps or check emails for employment purposes.
I haven't had anything constructive to talk about, so I haven't been writing diaries lately.
It seems like everywhere I go there's always something to drive up my blood pressure up...not literally of course, I just mean something's always making me mad.
Funny thing about the internet, it's a good place to find information, entertainment and perhaps even someone to talk to. But it's also a place where the worst kinds of people can hide behind anonymity while saying and even doing incredibly stupid and heinous things.
Even video games aren't safe these days and it seems that the mounting stupidity, hatred and malice are almost impossible to ignore i.e. GamerGate, a group who claims the movement is about journalistic ethics when those ethics were thrown out the window long ago. Just grow up and move on and let people enjoy the games they like for a change. And if people want to develop games that are more...how shall I say this...Inclusive? Why not let them and stop bitching about some non-existent radical leftist conspiracy to kill the gaming industry that isn't there?
Besides, given what's been going on where I live and around the country lately, there are much better things to get pissed off about...like how much the American public has truly lost over the years with flat-lined or depreciating income, education based on drilling for tests that hurt kids more than they help, constant cuts to Social Security and Medicare, disappearing or outright lost retirement due to unmitigated corporate greed, blatant racism and sexism and so on.
Go ahead and call me a thoughtless term like SJW. My feelings won't be hurt one bit.
I think I'll go pet my cats before I blow a gasket. Maybe I'll even play fetch with them too. My Bombay sure likes to anyway.
See ya around,
