This coming year with elections looming and flavors of the week popping up all around us like surprise spiders out of a birthday cake we are anxious. As the clock starts ticking to the Fall November day where most of citizens travel before, during and after work hours to go to this ballot box where the founders said we are allowed any choice we want, The citizens as people need to study up on it like it is homework and we got a year to hit the books for that final exam. Each day and week we are given the announcement "So and So is running for president" "So and So has joined the race." As people look on with their eyeballs drawn and not know what to think these people are on TV telling you "It doesn't matter, just put my name when you go to the ballot box so I can have that coveted house off 1600."
Now, with this coming election we see the Donkey and Elephant line ups commencing for the battle to what each feels is "taking back the country." The different stooges stand up on that podium waiting for their cue to get into character. Promising of new or different directions to young people of the "Future" it appears that it ends in a promised package of the same from whoever. Our decision has to be if we are satisfied with the promise or if we want to make our own promise.
Now is the time when the people of the young and younger desperate generation need to step up and take a stand. Also, to get the message out that we don't need to do what politicians did by selling ourselves to what other bank CEO can sit on his 18 yachts while nothing is affecting them. While we as the young generation of citizens are being railroaded with glacier blue water, roses and mosaic flowers we appear to come out of the cruel reality to only see ourselves wondering endlessly into the tired 127 degree dust bowl.
So, as we get closer to this monumental election. Take a moment and think on who most represents you. Don't think about the donkey and the elephant. Think about who guides to your principles and represents how you want your future to go. I once heard someone say "People will vote against something before they vote for something." My advice would be For, against in the middle vote for who speaks to your heart the most...... VOTE 2016!
