There was a diary a short time back welcoming new members to Dailykos and I was really tempted to add a cautionary comment.
This is the worst time to join this otherwise-wonderful blog (which I consider my daily front-page). But this is presidential-primary season and all the facts and opinions you seek about candidates will be buried in the thickest meta, infighting and bullshit you can imagine. Perhaps you should have joined in an odd-numbered year.
And I read similar, adversarial comments in another diary today. And we're a year out from the primaries? Gimme a fucking break!
Like I said, I consider the Great Orange Satan to be my front page but when I open a diary seeking Bernie's or Hillary's comments, the first opposing comment stretches for several pages while the arguers fight about the most simplistic, argumentative, unimportant, childish BULLSHIT imaginable.
"I can't believe you said __ about __ when he/she said __ about the last time __ responded to the slur by __ after being ignored by __..."
Knock this shit off! You make us look like redstate. Please.
And that's all I have to say about it.
I will vote Democratic, regardless. But I'm listening to all sides as I try to determine which candidate has the best odds of winning the general election. I already know who would be best for the country but that's a secondary consideration.
Who do I think is best? To find out, peek over my shoulder in the voting booth.
Treat each other with respect and love, fellow Progressives and Democrats. We have a bigger goal than the primacy, goddammit.
