Here’s a conundrum. In 2018 there were about 9000 more registered voters in Glynn County, Georgia, than in 2016. Yet, the total number of voters both years was about 35,000.
So, did people who were newly registered not vote or did prior voters stay home?
Or, did all the publicity about voter suppression, which btw, gave Kemp a lot of free publicity, convince people that voting for change was futile?
Voter suppression does not just target new populations, it seems. Perhaps more effective is increased intimidation of the already timid and widespread disgust with the whole system.
Certainly, the Dude in the White House is grossly disgusting. One has to have a strong stomach not to turn him off. And the comedians do not help. Steven Colbert doing an impersonation of the Dude is no longer funny.
